Overview:

This engaging, three-part animated video series (each 3–5 minutes long) is designed for all SANBS staff involved in procurement activities. The videos follow a conversational format between two animated characters—a Procurement Specialist (PS) and a Department Representative (DR)—to introduce and explain the concept, roles, and responsibilities of Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) within SANBS.

Purpose:
To educate staff on the importance and function of CFTs in procurement processes, promote effective collaboration, and ensure alignment with the SANBS Terms of Reference for Procurement (TOR-PUD-004), along with other relevant organizational guidelines.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what a Cross Functional Team (CFT) is and why it is essential in the SANBS procurement process.

  • Recognize the roles and responsibilities of Procurement Specialists and Department Representatives within a CFT.
